Indian soil used against Bangladesh

Vijaya Laxmi Tripura

“Sk.Hasian emarged as dictator & tyrant 8 years ago with direct involvement of India and secret backing of Britain. She with the help of India terrorized the nation by srcret killings of opposition politicians and actuvists. She used international “War on Terror” to hunt and eliminate political opponents. The Bangladesh regime allowed Indian deep state to expand inside Bangladesh and simulate violence to accuse political opponents of Sk.Hasina and Indian hegemony,” – that is what Kazi Azizul Huq, a notorious Hezbollah-Hamas activist in Bangladesh commented in an article titled ‘Sheikh Hasina: An emerging dictator’, written by one Rachel Avraham in a blog in the Foreign Policy Magazine. Unfortunately, Bangladeshi authorities have no idea about such dangerous conspiracy continuing in the global media against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government.

In this blog, Rachel is described as a journalist and writer at the Haym Salomon Center, a news and public policy group. She also is described as the president of the Dona Gracia Mendes Nasi Center for Human Rights in Middle East and a political analyst at the Safadi Center for International Diplomacy, Research, Public Relations and Human Rights.

Regarding Dona Gracia Mendes Nasi Center for Human Rights in Middle East, we found a Facebook Page with 122 people following was found by Blitz team. According her Facebook account, Rachel no more is associated with Safadi Center for International Diplomacy, Research, Public Relations and Human Rights.

In the Facebook Page of Dona Gracia Mendes Nasi Center for Human Rights in Middle East, Rachel has posted her recent article titled ‘The hypocrisy of the United Nations’, published in Jerusalem Online. In this article, Rachel wrote, “The UN produced a list of 38 shameful countries who oppress human rights activists.  Israel is on the list for not renewing the visa of a BDS activist but not Bangladesh, a country that imprisons and even allows the murder of human rights activists.“

In defence of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Aslam Chowdhury, Rachel wrote, “In Bangladesh, human rights activist Aslam Chowdhury remains in jail.  He has been an outspoken advocate speaking out in favor of human rights for the Hindu, Christian and Buddhist minorities within the country.  In recent years, the Hindu community in Bangladesh and other minorities are being slowly ethnically cleansed from the country, as Hindus are being raped, murdered, abducted, and tortured on a daily basis.  And the abuses against the Hindu minority continue unabated, without the respectable members of the international community doing anything about it.”

Aslam Chowdhury, a human rights activist – really? Either Rachel is totally unaware of Bangladesh or someone has been misleading her with false information. Aslam has never been a ‘human rights activist’ but is a leader of antisemitic, anti-Israel and violently pro-Palestine political party named BNP.

Our investigative team found that Aslam Chowdhury has been paying US$ 25,000 per month through a person named Shipan Kumer Basu since 2016 for continuing propaganda against Bangladesh and the ruling Bangladesh Awami League in the international arena. He has been using ‘Israeli Druze diplomat Mendi Safadi’ and his organization named Safadi Center for International Diplomacy, Research, Public Relations and Human Rights. The website describes: “Mendi Safadi, the head of Safadi center – for international diplomacy, research, Human Rights and public relations, lecturer expert in Islamic affairs, terrorism, Syria and the Middle East, has published numerous articles; he served as a political and strategic advisor about the Arab Spring and the Syrian revolution. Previously was chief of staff Office of the Deputy Minister for Development of the Negev and Galilee and regional cooperation and links between officials in the government with the Syrian opposition.

“Safadi Centre working in the last year about the subject of Bangladesh to ensure the rights of minorities, ending the current government’s repression, and denial of minority ethnic cleansing of Hindus and Buddhists and Christians, which is conducted by ISIS and Islamist groups, under government auspices and involved members of the ruling party.

“Safadi Centre, dealt in the Syrian revolution, to help the liberal opposition to struggle against the oppression of the Syrian regime, and helped obtain political support in many countries, supplies of humanitarian aid and medical, and preparation of human rights reports, exposing the activities of terrorist groups that infiltrated into the Syrian arena support regime and Iran, to undermine the revolution, saving minorities that were subject to an existential threat in Syria and Iraq, Christians, Yazidis, and Jews were smuggled out of the control areas of (Daa”s) ISIS .”

This website also displays photograph of BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury with Mendi Safadi while Safadi is seen with several important figures including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

While Safadi is shown to be against ISIS, one of his top aides, Kazi Azizul Huq and his disciple Shipan Kumer Basu are not seeing ISIS the way Safadi sees. Azizul in his Facebook account on September 28, 2018 at 10:45 wrote: #PresidentTrump is sincerely opposed to ISIL (Daesh), but US intelligence is secret patron of ISIL/ISIS”. Huq also is a diehard supporter of Iran and Palestinian Hamas, He is the Bangladesh coordinator of Hezbollah and Hamas. Blitz already has exposed dangerous activities of Kazi Azizul Huq and his disciple Shipan Kumer Basu in a report titled – Radical Islamic group promoting Hezbollah in Bangladesh.

According to Facebook account of Shipan Kumer Basu, Safadi regularly meets him in India. Basu proclaims himself as member, change.org; member, ACT For America; member, Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs; assistant working president, In Search of Roots, affiliated with InterfaithStrength and Safadi Center lobbying in international diplomacy. As Basu is unable writing anything in English, that Facebook Page of In Search of Roots remains totally blank.

Our India correspondent said, Shipan Kumer Basu has been shuttling between Tripura and West Bengal while there are several criminal charges against him for car lifting, smuggling and dealing in narcotics.

It is also learnt that, Basu proclaims himself as a leader of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while sometime he claims to be associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, abbreviated as RSS.

When contacted, both BJP and RSS sources categorically said they have no leader named Shipan Kumer Basu. For a long time, Shipan Kumer Basu has been posting his photographs with various political leaders in India as well as military officials, which he uses in establishing himself as an ‘important person’ in India.

Shipan Kumer Basu hails from Khulna division in Bangladesh and was living a very poor life. His luck changed as he managed to convince Aslam Chowdhury in hiring couple of Jewish individuals as the lobbyist for Bangladesh Nationalist Party. Aslam’s men are handing over amount equivalent to US$ 25 thousand to Shipan in India every month.

On web search we found article by Rachel Avraham in the Jerusalem Post, where she is described as the ‘senior media research analyst at the Center for Near East Policy Research and correspondent at the Israel Resource News Agency’.

As Bangladesh is heading towards another general election by December 2018, criminals and radical Islamic groups are continuing serious activities against Bangladesh using Indian soil with the ulterior agenda of sabotaging the existing cordial relations between Dhaka and Delhi.

Indian authorities need to immediately look into the matter and bring unscrupulous individuals like Shipan Kumer Basu into book.
