Top 10 grab 28pc of turnover

Top 10 turnover leaders Thursday captured 28 per cent of the turnover featured by the premier bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
The companies of banking and financial institutions sectors dominated the turnover chart of the DSE.
On the day, the DSE featured a turnover of above Tk 6.98 billion which was 3.09 per cent higher than the turnover of the previous session.
LanakaBangla Finance topped the turnover chart with a value of 334.10 million and captured 4.8 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price declined 2.53 per cent or Tk 1.4 per share and share trading closed at Tk 54.10.
United Power Generation and Distribution Company featured a turnover of Tk 233.90 million which was 3.3 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price declined 0.82 per cent or Tk 1.3 per share and trading closed at Tk 157.20.
Prime Bank contributed 3.1 per cent to the market turnover by featuring a value of Tk 218.80 million.  The company's share trading closed at Tk 22.60 per share. The market price rose 2.17 per cent or Tk 0.6 per share.
National Bank posted a turnover of Tk 187.70 million which was 2.70 per cent of the turnover featured by the premier bourse. The company's share trading closed at Tk 14.70 and witnessed a 2.80 per cent rise or Tk 0.40 per share.
The turnover of Shahjibazar Power Company stood at Tk 185.10 which was 2.6 per cent of the market turnover. The company's share price rose 0.48 per cent or Tk 0.7 per share and share trading closed at Tk 148.
BDCOM contributed 2.50 per cent to the market turnover, featuring a value of Tk 172.90 million. The company's share price rose 9.0 per cent or Tk 2.80 to close at Tk 33.80 per share.
BEXIMCO posted a turnover of Tk 171.50 million and captured 2.50 per cent of the turnover featured by the premier bourse. The company's share trading closed at Tk 33.70 which was 1.50 per cent higher than the price of the previous session.
Beximco Pharmaceuticals contributed 2.30 per cent to the market turnover, featuring a value of Tk 162.60 million.
The turnover of DESCO was Tk 149.60 million, while Islami Bank Bangladesh featured a turnover of Tk 145.40 million on the premier bourse.
