Tourism boosts economic growth of a country

TOURISM industry is considered one of the largest and the most diverse industries in the world. After the machinery and oil industry, this industry has established itself as a modern service industry and a device to create connectivity among nations and various people in the world. Today, tourism development in all areas, both at international and national levels, has drawn attention of the public policy makers and decision makers of the private sectors. Many countries are seeking ways to improve their economic conditions and in many countries tourism is seen as a major source of income and employment. Since tourism is one of the service industries, the income from this industry is considered a part of the host country's GDP that directly boosts the country's economic growth. Tourism has also indirect impacts on economic growth as it shows the effects of the dynamism in the total economy. If tourism due to interaction with other economic activities, brings prosperity and progress, other businesses that offer goods or services will move with it. It means that tourism can act as an engine for economic growth that pushes other activities forward. On the other hand, economic growth also has an effect on the development of tourism. Economic growth, with the development of tourism facilities and infrastructure including the development of transport and roads, development of information technology and communication (ICT), development of electronic money, residential sites, restaurants and hotels, public health and also the development of recreational and welfare facilities, will also cause the tourism industry to flourish.
Using interactive marketing methods gives the suppliers the capability of being aware of the attitudes of the tourists. Knowledge of attitudes and internal desires of the tourists provides a lot of help in offering personalised products and designing innovative products that will meet the needs of the tourists. For this purpose, after identifying the target markets, we can use the methods used to determine the target market and use special programmes to attract tourists. Gaining the advantages of periodical competition and using software and systems for tracking packages, provide the capability to reduce delays in waiting times in tourist destinations or  on routes of travel. Integration established in all areas of hotel even provides the possibility of sending bills via massage or Bluetooth systems to the cell phones' of the customers and subsequently prompt payment of bills via mobile phones and electronic payment options becomes possible. Elimination of redundant processes and reducing waste activities by using information technology can bring about improvement in service to tourists.
Today, tourism development in all economic, social and cultural dimensions has interested public and private planners in all national, regional and international areas. And all countries have reached a conclusion that tourism enables substantial foreign exchange earning for a country by taking it out of a single product.
