Bangladesh lost despite bright moments

BANGLADESH had its moments of advantage in the 2nd ODI against Afghanistan. But unfortunately, Bangladesh lost the opportunity to cash in and the advantage just disappeared.
It happened when Mosaddek, the debutant from Mymensingh, took the wicket of Asghar Stanikzai, the Afghan skipper and the highest scorer (57) for Afghanistan. The Afghanistan score was 174 runs for 6 wickets at that time in 40.3 overs. It was a bright moment for Bangladesh, but it went in vain at last. As a result, Afghanistan won by 2 wickets with 2 balls remaining. Afghanistan scored 212 runs for 8 wickets against Bangladesh score of 208 runs all out.
Mosaddek came out as a fine new all-rounder by scoring an unbeaten 45 with 4 fours and 2 mighty sixes and captured 2 wickets for 30 runs. Mahmudullah, a regular member of Bangladesh National Cricket Team, who is also from Mymensingh, scored 25 runs.
Mushfiqur Rahim scored a delightful innings of 38 runs with 4 fours. Shakib, the cricket hero of Bangladesh took four wickets for 47 runs. Bangladesh should now concentrate on the third and final ODI and make best use of its talents and clinch the series.
