At least eight people were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents at different districts of the country on Friday.
In the first accident, two betel leaf traders were killed and another was injured in a collision between two trucks at Prembagh on Jessore-Benapole road yesterday morning.
Police and eyewitnesses said the betel leaf-laden truck collided head on with another jute-laden lorry coming from opposite direction in the morning that resulted the death of trader Nasir Sheikh, 44, on the spot. [Read more]
