Two businessmen were shot in separate incidents at Kafrul and Sabujbagh in the city Thursday midnight and yesterday.
Source said some unknown assailants shot to death Rakib Hossain, alias Abu, 28, a tea-stall owner-cum-cab driver of 99, Purbo Kazipara in the city’s Kafrul yesterday.
Police and witnesses said 4 to 5 gunmen called out Abu from his tea-stall at about 2:10pm and shot him in front of his stall, leaving him seriously injured.
He was taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors pronounced him dead soon after admission. [Read more]
