The expert panel constituted in the Adani Hindenburg case has submitted its report to the Supreme Court. The expert panel of 6 members has given this report in the court on 8th May.
The matter will be heard before CJI DY Chandrachud on May 12. This information has been given by the people related to the case.
As per ET’s report, it is not yet known whether the committee has completed examining all the issues pointed out by the top court in its March 2 order, or whether it has sought more time to finalize its findings .
On April 29, the Securities and Exchange Board of India had approached the Supreme Court seeking a six-month extension to complete the probe into allegations of fraud and stock manipulation leveled by US research firm Hindenburg against the Adani Group.
The top court had asked both the committee and SEBI to submit the report within two months.
The panel was constituted to probe regulatory failures in dealing with alleged violations of laws relating to securities market in respect of Adani Group or other companies.
It was asked to suggest measures to strengthen investor awareness and strengthen the regulatory framework for investor protection.
