Police arrested a local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) from Court Road area in Chuadanga district town on Friday night on various charges.
The arrestee was identified as Imran Mahaldar Rintu,25, son of Abdul Kuddus Mahaldar, a resident of Kedarganj area of the district town.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Tozammel Haque said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Rintu at about 9.30pm.
The arrestee was accused in several cases, including for hurling crude bombs at police van, the OC added, according to a news agency.
