Three children, including two siblings, drowned in a canal at Sholabari village in Sarail upazila of Brahmanbaria on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as M Emran Miah, son of Kamal Miah, his (Emran) younger sister Sabina Begum, 4, and Aman Ullah, 4, nephew of Kamal and son of Juru Miah of the same house.
Panishwar union parishad chairman M Deen Islam said the three children fell into the water while they were playing beside the canal around 10:00 am and drowned.
Later, locals recovered the bodies from the spot, according to a news agency.
