Ministry asks pvt medical colleges to register land within three months

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare asked the private medical colleges on Wednesday to register and transferred the land allotted to them in their own names and gave a three-month timeframe for registering the lands.
In a directive, the ministry in its directives also warned to suspend admission procedures of Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital, Uttara Adhunik Medical College and Popular Medical College for the academic year 2016-17 if they fail to register lands in their own names.
The directives were issued at a meeting of the committee of the ministry for private medical college governing policy at the secretariat with Health Minister Mohammed Nasim in the chair, said a press release.
The meeting was attended by Department of Health Director General Dr. Deen Mohammad Nurul Huq, Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) President Prof Dr Mohammod Shahidullah and top officials of the ministry, among others.
