The Dhaka University at its last syndicate meeting with Vice Chancellor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair conferred Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree on 36 researchers and Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) degree on another 34 researchers for the year 2016, according to a press release.
Meanwhile, the Faculty of Education got its new Dean MZK Rafiqul Islam who was the former Departmental Head and Associate Professor of the Technical Teachers' Training College.
A press release issued by the Treasurer of the university notified that according to the Dhaka University Act 1973, MZK Rafiqul Islam has been elected uncontested as the Dean of the Faculty for the academic year 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.
