Tight security measures in Naogaon

NAOGAON, June 29: Special security measures have been taken ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr in the district.
Mozammel Haque, superintendent of police (SP) in Naogaon, has asked all police units in the district to ensure foolproof security so that no unpleasant incidents occur centring the Eid festival.
He also directed the police officials not to stop any vehicle on the highways for checking without any specific information, for the sake of easy traffic movement.
Police, Detective Branch and other units of law enforcement agencies have been deployed at the markets and other areas to ensure law and order.
Police also distributed leaflets across the town yesterday to create mass consciousness about different criminal activities including burglaries, theft, robbery and mugging during the period.
All have been done so that people can celebrate their festival in a peaceful manner, the SP said.
