Bangladeshi envoy in Nepal, Nim Chandra Bhowmick is still continuing in the office, after damaging the image of Bangladesh through numerous wrong-doings, including sexual scandals. The foreign ministry has failed to take any action against Nim Chandra Bhowmick, for reason unknown. It is disclosed by the inside sources at Ministry of Foreign Affairs that, top policymakers of the government are unwilling to punish Nim Chandra Bhowmick, as they feel such actions will only prove the ‘mistakes’ committed by the government in selecting him as Bangladeshi ambassador in Nepal. The same source said, dozens of allegations are also lying on desks at Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding similar irregularities by a number of Bangladeshi envoys abroad, who has been appointed on political consideration by the current government.
