The Government has started working on the extension of the amended Health Nutrition and Population Sector Programme (HNPSP) from July next year without any disruption of service delivery to the people.
The current HNPSP programme, with a budget of Tk 37,384 crore, will end in June next year. There will be new HNPSP programme from July 2011.
The Annual Programme Review (APR) 2009 of HNPSP recommends for immediate start of preparation of next sector programme at the end of present HNPSP in June 2011, a highly placed source of the concerned ministry told the New Nation. [Read more]
