DSE gains marginally, trade volume still lower

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) yesterday gained marginally with prices of major shares rising after facing a big blow on Sunday.
The stocks nosedived on that day witnessing steepest single-day fall of benchmark index in five months as the investors were feeling disturbed by “severe instructions” by the stock market regulator.
On that day the DSE General Index (DGEN) plummeted 81.34 points or 1.85 per cent while the DSE All Shares Price Index (DSI) lost 65.80 points or 1.80 per cent and DSE-20 blue chip index moved down 37.30 points or 1.46 per cent. [Read more]
