A Dhaka court is set to issue death warrants against five convicts, who are now in the condemned cells, in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman murder (assassination) case today.
After issuing the death warrants, the trial court will ask the senior jail super of the Dhaka Central Jail to take necessary steps to execute the death sentences of the convicts, court sources said.
Judge (vacation) Abdul Majid of the District and Sessions Judge’s Court, Dhaka will pass the order. [Read more]
