Automatic traffic signalling system will replace the manual traffic control system from today to tackle frequent congestion problem in the city.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner AKM Shahidul Huq DMP would also launch awareness programme for the drivers and the road users from today, which will continue till December 1.
The DMP, with the help of DCC, will begin three-lane traffic controlling system from December 1 to help solve the city’s vexing traffic congestion problem.
From December 8, the DMP will take stern action against vehicles found violating traffic rules. [Read more]
