Some unidentified assailants shot dead an employee of Urban Development Directorate (UDD) in the capital’s Kazipara under Mirpur Police Station yesterday.
The victim was identified as Rakibul Hasan Mukul alias Yusuf, 35, a designer of the directorate.
Najimuddin officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station told the New Nation that the reasons behind the killing might be enemity. “We are looking into the matter,” he said.
The victim’s family said Raquibul left home for office yesterday morning, but on the way he was kidnapped for planned killing. [Read more]
