The main accused in the killing of two RAB members and a member of notorious ‘Gangchil Bahini’ was killed in a gunfight with the Rapid Action Battalion personnel in Savar area on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam Azad alias Sumon, 25, son of Abul Kalam Azad, of Darus Salam in Dhaka city. “Sumon was accused of killing a sub-inspector of Savar police station in 2002 and two Rab members at Aminbazar brick field under the same thana in 2007, said a Rab press release.
