The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources will hold an urgent meeting today to find out ways to alleviate sufferings of people across the country due to frequent power disruption.
Senior officials of Power Development Board (PDB), Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) Limited, Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO), Power Grid Company Limited will take part in the meeting.
However, a senior official of PDB frankly said that it is not possible to increase power supply before June. “The PDB will be able to add 400MW electricity to the national grid by June,” he added. [Read more]
