At least 50 people, including three journalists, were injured in a clash between BDR jawans and local people at Santaher railway station in Adamdighi upazila yesterday.
Witnesses said BDR jawans recovered a number of smuggled goods and arrested a woman smuggler from a train at the station. Then, they took the woman to a room of the train where they manhandled her.
The BDR men indiscriminately charged baton on local journalists as the media men went to take snap of the manhandling.
Later, local people angered by the baton charge came out on the street that sparked off the clash, leaving the injured at noon. [Read more]
