The government has taken decision to reduce bus fare for long distance route by Tk 0.02 per kilometre in the wake of price cut of fuel.
Passengers on several city bus routes have locked into an altercation with bus employees over bus fare.
The Ministry of Communications in a statement said yesterday the fare of diesel-run bus has been lowered to Tk 0.96 from Tk 0.98 per kilometre. The fare of diesel-run bus lowered to Tk 0.99 from Tk 1.01 and rate for the minibuses on Mawa-Paturia route through ferry terminal was set at Tk 1.02 from Tk 1. [Read more]
