The Muslims of the country will celebrate one of their biggest religious festival Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow (Wednesday) if the moon heralding the month of Shawal is sighted anywhere in Bangladesh today. If the Shawal moon is not sighted today, the Eid will be celebrated on Sunday.
However, space researchers and meteorologists yesterday said the possibility of sighting the moon of Shawal month is less today. The possibility of 30-day Ramzan is high this year, they said. [Read more]
