Fire in 22-storey high rise: 10 hurt: Yet another CNG cylinder explosion in city

At least 10 people were injured in a fire that broke out in a multi-storey building at Kamal Ataturk Avenue in Banani in the city yesterday.
Fire-service sources said the fire originated from a Microbus CNG cylinder explosion in the basement car park of the 22-storey Rupayan Tower at about 3:30pm.
Microbus driver Bashar of Kashem Dry Cell Battery Company told our Uttara Correspondent that the fire from the CNG explosion engulfed the building within 15 minutes.
The CNG tank exploded with a big sound spreading panic among the people. [Read more]
