Shunning foreign products could bring prosperity to the country and turn Bangladesh self-sufficient said Muhammad Abdul Mazid, Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR), while criticising people’s passion for foreign goods yesterday.
“If we become passionate for indigenous goods rather than for foreign products, our dependency on import will reduce and help us save foreign currency,” said the NBR Chairman in a seminar on “Budget Aspiration of Women Entrepreneurs 2008-09.”
Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) organised the seminar at Hotel Orchard Plaza in the city. [Read more]
