Ten extremist leaders were sentenced to death, six to life imprisonment and five others to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI) by the speedy trial tribunal here yesterday for killing four police and looting their firearms in Manda police station under Naogaon district.
Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge ATM Mesbauddoula found the convicts guilty of the charges and pronounced the verdict in a crowded courtroom this noon. Seven of the convicts were present in the dock at that time. [Read more]
