The Dhaka Central Jail authorities Thursday rejected the allegation of detained Sigma Huda, wife of detained former minister Nazmul Huda, of providing her inadequate medical facilities in the jail.
The authorities also said that her physical condition did not require special treatment at the private hospital outside the jail.
Earlier on Tuesday Sigma Huda warned that the government would be held responsible if she dies in the jail as the jail authorities were not providing her adequate treatment for the disease which she claimed to have been suffering. [Read more]
