Country’s overall flood situation has deteriorated further as the floodwaters from neighbouring Indian state of Assam rushing towards Bangladesh.
Thousands of people have become marooned with the inundation of fresh areas in different districts of the country.
Though the flood situation has slightly improved in the country’s northern region, it has deteriorated in the central region including Dhaka, aggravating the sufferings of ordinary people.
The people, especially the poor who have become marooned in different districts of the country have been facing acute crisis of food, pure drinking water and medicine. [Read more]
