Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Saturday said Indian investments in Bangladesh with possibilities of re-export to India can help bring down the trade gap between the two close-door neighbours.
“Indian investments in Bangladesh with the possibilities of re-export to India can help diversify exports of Bangladesh along with bringing down the trade gap," said Amu while speaking at a business event at a Dhaka hotel.
Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) organised the event styled "India-Bangladesh Business Meet on Agriculture, Hosticulture and Processed Food Sector' with support of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI).
Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla, FBCCI President M Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin and IBCCI President Taskeen Ahmed, among others, spoke on the occasion, according to BSS.
