The department of Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) of the University of Dhaka has launched a two-year Master of Accountancy in taxation.
The course has been launched aiming to create professionals interested in the areas of auditing, accounting, taxation and bank management.
Dr. Mizanur Rahman, a professor at AIS department made Thursday the announcement of the launch of the programme at a press briefing held at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).
The candidates, who completed graduation without third class or CGPA less than 2.50, in accounting, business studies, law and economics or have equivalent degree will be eligible to get admission in the course on Master of Accountancy in Taxation.
"The course has been introduced to create skilled manpower in the areas of auditing, taxation, bank management and consultancy," said Professor Rahman, also director of the programme on Master of Accountancy in Taxation.
He said the aspirant candidates would get the chance of admission twice in a year after passing the admission test.
Some Tk 0.25 million will be required to complete the course.
Professor Abdul Hakim and Professor Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan were also present at the press briefing.
