Two people died in clashes between supporters of the current and previous chairmen of a union at Raipura of Narsingdhi.
Twenty people were also injured when fighting began at Banshgari on Monday, said Superintendent of Police Md Shafiur Rahman, reports bdnews24.com.
‪The deceased were identified as Arush Ali and Jainal, he said.
‪Police said the two were among supporters of former Banshgari chairman Hafizur Rahman when they clashed with supporters of present chairman Sirajul Haque.
‪At least 30 households were vandalised and torched during the clashes among men also armed with sharp weapons.
