Raushon Ershad seeks plot allocation

Opposition Leader in Parliament Raushon Ershad on Monday urged the government to allocate a plot against her and all other MPs who are yet to get any government plot.
She made the call while addressing the House on the last sitting of the 15th session of the current parliament, reports UNB.
Pointing at the Housing and Public Works Minister, Raushon said, “All MPs have yet to get plots. You (Minister), will please allocate plots for all MPs. I also did not get any plot. So, consider the matter with importance.”
Talking about the recently held assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union in Dhaka, the Opposition Leader said the image of country was brightened by successfully arranging the 136th IPU assembly. It was first IPU assembly which was completely a green programme, she added.
“Had the two Bangladeshis (Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP) not been elected CPA chairperson and IPU president, question might be raised about democracy (of the country) saying that the election was not held (in fair manner),” Raushon said.
The Jatiya Party leader urged the government to control price-hikes of daily essentials during the upcoming month of Ramzan.
She also suggested the government to reform education system for ensuring quality education, promoting vocational education, creating jobs and curbing the abuse of drugs in the country.
