SUST founding VC Sadruddin Ahmed passes away

Language Movement veteran Sadruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, the founding vice-chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, has died. He was 86.

The physicist breathed his last at a hospital in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon. He had been suffering from old-age complications, , his daughter Professor Nazia Chowdhury said in the evening, according to a news agency. -bz
