Police nabbed a young man along with 35 mounds of jatkas (hilsa fish less than 10 inches in length) from a truck in Meghna Ludhua wharf of Kamalnagar upazila of Barisal district on Sunday.

Rafiqul Islam, sub inspector of Kamalnagar Police Station, said on secret information, a team of the low enforcers conducted a raid in Meghna Ludhua wharf in the morning and arrested the man along with the jatka consignment, according to a news agency report.

The jatka consignment was being transported to Dhaka from Barisal, added the police.
