Retail groups reach Bangladesh safety pact

Two retail groups working to improve factory safety in Bangladesh have reached a tentative agreement on standards for plant inspections in the country.
A group led by Gap Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has joined an alliance of mostly European retailers, along with the government's National Tripartite Action Plan, in developing common inspection standards, the Wall Street Journal reports.
