Afghan officials say Taliban insurgents have killed at least 16 people in eastern Afghanistan, with some civilians reported among the victims.
Provincial Governor Musa Khan Akbarzada said militants infiltrated a police checkpoint in Andar district on Tuesday and killed 10 members of the local militia and at least six civilians.
