Mock security demo staged

The law enforcing agencies will carry out special operation in the capital to build up general security blanket before the ICC World Cup Cricket 2011 scheduled to kick off on February 17.

Briefing reporters after a mock security drill at Mirpur stadium on Sunday afternoon DMP Commissioner Benazir Ahmed said nine hotels in the capital were given security clearance after examining all security aspects and requested the Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) to circulate it worldwide.

Apart from the nine hotels, security measures will be in place at other hotels in the capital as well.
