Cop shoots himself to death at KCC mayor’s house

UNB, Khulna

A police man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself to death at the house of mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) in the city on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, 27, a police constable and member of police security at the KCC mayor’s house.

Co-constable constable Aliar Rahman said Sirajul shot himself to death in his 6350 number room at the security guards’ barrack at KCC mayor Talukder Abdul Khalek’s city residence immediately after having ablution for Zohr prayers at 12:30pm.
