The month-long countrywide protest programme announced by BNP ended on Sunday and it failed to observe a number of programmes in districts and upazila headquarters due to Section 144 imposed by administration.
Actually the party was under Section 144 and it was not in a position to hold rallies, processions, gatherings or observe programme in different places due to non cooperation of local administration as well as threat from ruling party, party sources said.
They also said that it could not observe almost half of its planned protest programmes all over the country during the month of October. [Read More]
