Power-hungry people ransacked power office in Sarail upazila headquarter Monday morning demanding uninterrupted power supply.
Local sources said several hundred people gathered at the power office at 9am and ransacked it as there was no electricity in the upazila headquarters in the last two days.
They blocked Sarail-Nasirnagar road by putting logs on the road at 10 am.
The agitated people also put barricade on Dhaka-Sylhet highwayat 11 am, disrupting traffic movement on the road for one and a half hour. Several hundred vehicles got stranded on both sides of the road. [Read More]
