Police raid Jamaat headquarters

The police, including personnel from the Detective Branch (DB), suddenly raided the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at Mogbazar in the capital yesterday.
Earlier, police raided the party’s headquarters two times in August.
DB and police claimed that they carried out the raid to arrest the former Jamaat lawmaker Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, who was also President of Jamaat’s student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir. [Read More]
