Almost quietly the US president Barack Obama’s representative to the United Nations Arthur Cousin made a five-day visit to Bangladesh recently to know the country’s food security position and evaluate the US and UN funded projects.
The silent but busy scheduled programme was arranged also reportedly in the wake of allegations of the uneven distribution of the US-UN placed funds among the Aila victims in the country’s southern coastal districts.
