Three policemen on-duty in Farmgate police box in the capital were closed yesterday for assaulting two reporters.
The two journalists — Nikhil Bhadra of the daily Jaijai din and Amitosh Pal of Kaler Kantha - were the victims of the police assault.
They came under police attack when they, boarded a motorbike, on their way to Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) at Segun Bagicha from Parliament Building via Farmgate at about 11.30AM yesterday.
After the incident, they were confined for about one hour in the Farmgate police box. [Read More]
