Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has proposed the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) to raise multi- year tariff by 12 per cent to make up the huge subsidy in power sector.
“We have submitted a proposal to the BERC to raise 12 percent power tariff at bulk level per year for next 3-years. However, we called it multi-year tariff line,” a top official of BPDB told BSS on Monday.
He said to support the poor and small electricity consumers group BPDB proposed to introduce ‘life-line tariff. [Read More]
