Diarrhoea cases mount Lack of clean water, scattered garbage mainly responsible

The number of diarrhoea patients, mostly children, is on the rise due to scattered throwing and dumping of garbage, inadequate supply of clean water, excessive heat-wave and frequent power outages in the city and its suburbs, officials said yesterday.
Experts blamed unplanned dumping of unhygienic garbage even on city’s main roads, supply of polluted water by WASA and oppressive heat-wave as the main cause of the spread of diarrhoea in the city. [Read More]
