The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained slightly in the first trading day of the week as confidence of the investors restored partly, market sources said.
The general index of DSE went up by 67 points in early trading yesterday (Monday), but the uptrend did not sustain with the index taking a nose dive at the end of the day’s trading.
The DGEN, or the general index, ended on the day by gaining a meager 0.77 points, finishing at 7493.60.
However, overall turnover slipped by over 3 per cent than the previous session and closed at Tk 19 billion and over half of the issues traded on the day managed to make gains. [Read More]
