At least six persons were killed and 80 others injured being crushed under the wheels of a train near the rally site of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at Soidabad under Ullahpara Upazila in Sirajganj at about 3 pm on Monday The train driver was lynched in a violence clash.
According to the local sources, the accident occurred when a Dhaka bound train from Dinajpur ‘Drutajan Express’ ploughed through a crowd of those gathered near the level-crossing area to attend the meeting on the occasion of Shaheed Jehad Day.
