The extended tax return deadline for individuals ends at 8pm on Thursday.
Member of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Bashiruddin Ahmed has said the government may not extend the deadline to file the income tax return for individual taxpayers this year.
“We have no plans to extend the deadline. We hope we are near the target. The deadline for individuals was earlier extended by five more working days. So there’s no logic of extending the timeframe,” he said.
