Spl Court on BDR mutiny adjourned till Oct 11

A special court formed to deal with the 2009 BDR mutiny cases was adjourned yesterday till October 11 after the witness cross-examination proceedings of 24 Rifles Battalion at the Peelkhana headquarters.
Earlier in the day, 22 accused cross-examined three witnesses– Lt Col SM Abdus Salam, Major Ishtiaq Ahmed and Lt Col Md Rezaul Karim– in connection with the February 25-26 rebellion charges levelled against them.
The tribunal resumed its trial around 11:20 am and ended at 3:30 pm.
Earlier, all the 667 accused of the battalion were produced before the court led by BDR chief Maj Gen Md Rafiqul Islam. [Read More]
