The High Court yesterday exempted Election Commissioner Muhammed Sohul Hussain from physical appearance before the court in a contempt of court petition filed against him.
Sohul Hussain didn’t appear before the court room though he was present at his lawyer’s room in the Supreme Court. The HC bench of Justices AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury As the matter came up before the bench, the counsel for Sohul Hussain was initially reluctant to submit any application in black and white seeking exemption from personal appearance before the bench during hearing on the contempt rule.
